How do I get started with SD&D?
Choose your Door, Bench or Box Kit, Choose your Plan and complete your Personal Delivery Identification Number (PDIN) Profile. PDIN is automatically assigned to you and it does not cost you anything to use PDIN, and makes everything easier!
What is PDIN?
Personal Delivery Identification Number (PDIN). It’s your unique package delivery number associated with the management of all of your deliveries from a retail source to any address from your My Profile. If you’re cooperating retailer uses PDIN in ordering, checking out could not be simpler. When you review your cart at checkout, enter your PDIN number, and pushes SUBMIT. Done! The next thing you’ll see is your package inside your home, bench or box.
Do I have to have a SD&D door, bench or box? Can I just have PDIN?
No – but it’s preferable. Your cooperating retailer will determine if PDIN is available with them. It’s great, so we want all retailers to offer this!
How much does it really cost me?
Cost is the initial kit purchase and a monthly plan that can be canceled at any time after an initial 1-year subscription. Easy and flexible. Although these kits are designed to be installed by any Do-It-Yourselfer (DIY), we can help arrange installation also if you like. Just check the boxes on the initial order form.
How Does Installation Work?
Installation is a snap. Installation is designed for any DIY and comes with instructions, templates and soon a video. Installing the door kit is like installing a “doggie door” and fits most existing exterior doors. Installing the bench or box kit is simply screwing two components onto the inside lid and side. All parts are included. Installing the Touch Screen is up to you where and how you choose to place it – which we recommend near the front door. It does need permanent power, and again, we can help with that installation also if needed. Again, just check the boxes on the initial order form if you would like our help.
What if my door, bench or box doesn’t work?
Call us and our technical support will help you work thru the problem. If not resolved, we can send a repair person to you.
What if the delivery guy can’t get the Touch Screen code to work?
He can call you on the Touch Screen (Audio / Video button) and you can give him instructions on what to do. One option you have with SD&D is simply pushing the “Open Smart Door” button located in your SD&D My Profile. What could be easier?
What if my neighbor wants to drop something off?
You can push the “One Time Passcode” button in your SD&D My Profile to issue a one-time code to open the door. Like all deliveries, the SD&D system will take a picture when the code is entered to open the door, and another picture is taken when the door is closed and delivery complete. Another measure of security.
What if I have a dog or pet?
We LOVE dogs and we don’t want them to get out or stressed by delivery people. So, if you have a concern about your pet when the door panel opens for delivery or sending, select the bench or box kit.
What if I we want the bench or box to be temperature controlled?
The simple answer is to have a temperature controlled bag or cooler inside your storage bench or box. However, our kit can also fit any temperature controlled bench or box you may have. That’s the beauty of the kit as it can fit almost anything.
What if I just want to have the SD&D system with the Touch Screen and Smart Lock?
You can! We have a Kit that is just that – a Touch Screen and a Smart Lock and can be installed on any door or open / closing device. Touch Screen installation is the same, but we recommend hiring a professional to install the Smart Lock – which is an electronic striker lock. Very strong and durable and can be used as any other striker lock application.
